tank mech sketches
Here are some sketches for a few mechs I have been working on for a while now. I figured it would be a good idea to have some big exploding firepower mechs in my portfolio. I only wanted to develop one but I really liked a few of the silhouettes so I am developing 3 of them. I am working on the next phase of these mechs now and I am building them in 3D. I will post the 3D models soon. Thanks for checking out my work!

Matte Painting at Red Enging with Bruno Werneck
Here is my matte painting from the class I took with Bruno Werneck at Red engine last term. I used some 3D for the columns and the rest is made from photos and paint. The class with Bruno was amazing, I learned a lot and really enjoy the matte painting process. I can see that I still have a long way to go but I feel that this isn't bad for my first attempt at a matte painting. Feel free to leave comments and thanks for checking my work out.

Mech Final
I have been working really hard on my portfolio and I just finished painting my Mech that I started last year in John and Alberts Vehicle and Mech design class at Red Engine.
This mech is designed to be deployed on a lava planet. Its main function is to direct the flow of lava rivers. It secondary functions are to lift and clear heavy rocks and break up solid rock surfaces.
The rendered image is of the mechs being cleaned back at the storage base after a long days work.
Thanks for checking it out.

WIP
Here is a concept design I am working on for a grid city that grows and floats around in outer space. This is just one piece of many parts that will come together to make a large grid that is the floating city. I hope to have the 3D model built and painted before the week is over.
Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and I will get the finished image to you soon. Thanks for checking it out.

Red Engine Vehicle Design with John Park and Albert Ng
Thank you John and Albert so much for such a rewarding class. I learned so much and appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to helping us all. I look forward to rendering out the projects I did for this class and continuing to design more vehicles and mechs for my portfolio. I also want to thank, the students that made it all the way through the 8 weeks of class, I really learned a lot from you guys as well and was really inspired by all of your work. I look forward to keeping in touch with all of you. Here is the work that I have done for this class.
Thanks again,
Gurmukh
My vehicle is a South African military vehicle that is designed for D-9 part 2. The main weapon on the vehicle is a gun attached to a extension arm that can rotate 360 degrees, reach over walls and around objects and has a higher viewpoint to see and shoot from. The vehicle is opperated by 4-6 people and has 8 wheels because it drives through the slums.
I have a few design changes to make to this mech and will render it out in 3/4 view and in action in its environment and will post those changes for you all to see. Thanks for checking out my work.

I have some design changes that I am going to make for my final pass and I am going to render the vehicle out in 3/4 view and in action placed in a environment. I will post that stuff when it is done for all of your feedback.
My mech is a mech that works on a lava planet. Its primary function is to direct the flow of lava and freeze lava walls that make the lava flow changes permanant, its secondary functions are to jack hammer and break up hardened lava rocks, move and lift heavy lava rocks and dig out and create new river beds.
